She also doesn’t mind learning about a side of herself she never knew existed. It's great changing into a real wolf whenever she wants, but being a living experiment wasn’t part of the scientific career she’d planned for herself. Neither was falling for the local werewolf alpha, but what else is a newbie werewolf caught in her burning time going to do?

Ariel Rocked! I loved the concept. The characters were well developed and the storyline was fresh. Finally, something different from the same-ole, same-ole paranormal story. Ariel is my entry into the paranormal world of shifters. I like it here and plan to write a few more in this series. My love of science fiction might be showing through again in these stories--just a little. I'm a science geek who wants her romantic comedies to have the adventure and excitement that can only be found in a paranormal world.

After 35 years of doing everything for a living except writing books, Donna McDonald finally published her first romance novel in March of 2011. Thirty novels later, she is living her own "happily ever after" life as a full time romance author. Not sure what book everyone else read, but the one that showed up in my library was a dud. As a lover of shifter stories and having read other people's reviews, I was really excited to devour this one. I was sorely disappointed. The idea and plot were good, but the writing and narrative lacked the natural rhythm I prefer. It was almost robotic and if the writer hadn't told me who was speaking, I would have never been able to tell since everyone sounded the same and had no unique qualities to their personality or individual voice. I'm amused at how other reviewers noted that the characters were funny, especially the main character. That never came across to me. If the author hadn't constantly told me that people were laughing, snickering, smiling, etc...I would never have known. I never had an emotional reaction to this book because I was constantly being told what someone felt instead of understanding their feelings through good creative writing. I know someone is happy because I'm being told, I know someone is angry because I'm being told, I know someone is in love, because, again, I'm being told. I don't want to be told, I want to be shown and a picture painted for me.

Excellent

Good character development, storytelling, and writing. The science was told in a way that didn't go overboard, and was smoothly summarized so the scientific reader wasn't offended. (That last is rarely the case for the romances I have read...) The intrigue was interesting. The relationships helped build the story, while also giving the reader lots of happy vibes. The romance was sweet.

This was my first book I read by this author and I was very much impress by this type of book.
The story I love it I like the way the character's grew into there story parts and how they learned from eachother about love, friendship and what it's like to have a family and also most of what loyalties means to them as a family . I can't wait see what in book 2 and how grow more as a family and stand tall for eachother . Thank you for letting me enjoying your story.
