Kindle Version is Poorly Formated

The ebook designer for this book should be avoided. I understand that the Table of Content is the most time consuming part of creating a Kindle ebook, but the designer obviously did not bother. It has a text Table of Content directly imported from the book with the crooked (wrapped around) dotted line toward the page numbers of the physical book, not Kindle ebook. There is no link to the Table of Content (meaning you cannot jump there if you want to use the "Go to a location" button on Kindle). There is also no link in the Table of Content to the chapters. That means you cannot jump from the Table of Content to the chapter you want to review.
Some parts of the book appears confusing because of the poor formatting, making you think whether the author published the book without proofreading or still in its draft stage. For example in chapter 2, there are three question for preparation, but on the page following the three questions, you would see Question #2. You suddenly feel frustrated thinking, "Where does this come from? Is it supposed to be #4?" Following that confusion there is another confusing chunk of text like this:
"Decide and commit. minutes per day to work on my book. day per week to work on my book. ' Your signature What will you do to prepare? What actions are you going to take that will get you closer to writing your book?" (I cut an paste from the Kindle, so it is exactly how it appears there). Looking at it carefully, you can guess that it is supposed to be a commitment form to be signed.
I just finished chapter two. The book is motivational. The author is full of passion. I am not disappointed with the content, and that's why I gave it three stars, in spite of the very poor book layout design.
I am following the instructions in this book to write a book. I will try to update as I progress.
By the way, the book points to the author's website for you to purchase the tools you need for preparing to write, however when I visited the website, I found that none of those tools are available yet. It says coming soon. This book was published almost a year ago, yet those tools are still coming soon? I am sure you don't need them. But I just checked it out to find out what they are like. Another disappointment on quality control.

Useful Exercises

I bought this book after a Twitter conversation with Ann McIndoo. It is primarily geared toward speakers and instructors who want to include book sales with their presentations and seminars. The exercises are still applicable to writers who want to write fiction, but it has to do with committing to your project, scheduling yourself and organizing your thoughts. If you're new to writing, the methods offered in this book are easy to understand and implement. It can be another useful tool for banishing the blank page. Ann also offers pricey one-on-coaching on her website, but the tools you need are already in the book. Other aids that she talks about are easy to make on your own.

Can-do with McIndoo

Ann McIndoo is a powerhouse! She loves to see people succeed and had created tools to make that happen quickly and efficiently.
I think that Ann's formula for unlocking the information a person has stored up in their brain is as fool-proof as my Mother's recipe for homemade bread. My Mom made the best bread in Circleville, Utah, and all of her friends sent their daughters to my Mom for lessons about how to do it.
Ann has honed her talents to a fine edge and now, she gets her kicks from seeing what other people can do with her recipe.
Don't miss this little gem of a book. You will find it isn't just about writing your own best seller. It's about the joy of knowing that information is power and that it's true "tis better to give than to receive"...and last, but not the least "man does not live by bread alone"...get yourself a bite of this delicious bit of empowerment and if you don't write about your life's lessons, it will inspire you to live a life others will want to write about!!
