more of a planner for someone who needs insiration on what kind of business to start

this is more for someone who is thinking about starting a business and needs inspiration as to what kind of business. It is not really for people who already have a business up and running. the book goes over a lot of how to create a concept and how to figure out your target. If you are already a designer and are selling products you are kind of way above the level this book is for.

I am so on the fence with this book. It came out today and I have been looking forward to purchasing it. I drove an hour and a half to get it. At the store, they had their single copy held for me behind the counter of a huge line so I didn't get a chance to look through it first.

I wanted this to be an awesome book and I hate even giving it 3 stars. Personally I would give it one star because I've been selling on Etsy for a year now, worked in retail for over a decade and have worked for myself for almost 5. I was really hoping for more of a challenge and not an idea jogger for startups with some financial paperwork samples. I felt it was very watered down.

I gave it 3 stars because I feel that new businesses could probably learn a lot from it and it could be a 5 star book for them, so I went middle of the road.

I also am 100% online and handmade so the book didn't really fit what I was looking for and said lot doesn't pertain to my operations. I did like that it helps you build a team and which Financial paperwork you should use. That being said, it wasn't detailed enough.

In my personal opinion, the planning was way too geared toward startups and the advice was not very detailed. It would start an interesting peice of advice and it would just end. The quiz was okay but the answers didn't really fit my personality so they were hard to answer.

If you like meditating and are trying to start a business, I would recommend it. If you are lost in your business and need a creative jolt, I would recommend it.

If you've been in business and know the basic ropes, I wouldn't recommend it.

I thought I was a pretty good planner, but this book blows me away! I brought it on a recent business trip and I got so much planning done. Everything is thoughtfully presented, clearly explained, and truly inspirational. I have clarity for my business, and it's all wrapped up in one place.

Bob has done what nobody else talks about

This was my first book by bob burg. Its definitley not my last! The overlying theme that I got from reading this book was that you should not just be focused on obtaining sales for just your business, you should be working just as hard to be helping other business owners and sales professionals aquire business as well. And it doesnt have to be necessarily sales that you help people with. You could be helping someone get a job, get into a college, get a promotion, get a grant for an organization or what ever. Bob also said that you should always be helping people without keeping score and make pepole genuinley feel good about themselves. That is such a perfect philosophy and I think its the foundation for any successful business. Bob has put in writing what very few business owners talk about. He has talked about putting others needs before your own.

The absolute best book to jump start a sales career. If paying it forward isn't already second nature, this book shows the road map of just how it works in the business world. If you could only read one book on networking, this IS THE BOOK. Three years after I read this book, I have a steady stream of referrals to keep my business growing, but it only works if you're willing to give the same to others first. Its mandatory reading for new employees now! Bob Burg rocks! After this book, read "Go-Givers," then "It's Not About You." Life changing!

Don't depend on this book for any web marketing - it's very dated

For the sales person, this system will help you develop networking skills between you and another human being. But as a guide for web/social marketing, it is not current and very much out of date (2006). I would encourage you to find the most current books on social, email & web marketing to be able to successfully market your services/products via Google, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest & Instagram.

Doris Orgel is a children's book author born in Vienna, Austria February 15, 1929. Her book The Devil in Vienna received a Phoenix Award Honor in 1998, and her books Sarah's Room and Dwarf Long-Nose were illustrated by Hans Christian Andersen Award winning illustrator Maurice Sendak. She has also translated children's books from German to English. Two of her translations, Nero Corleone: a Cat's Story by Elke Heidenreich and Daniel Half Human by David Chotjewitz, are Mildred L. Batchelder Honor Books, the award recognizing outstanding translated children's books.

Wonderful story of friendship during the Holocaust

I enjoyed seeding the period through the eyes of a young Jewish girl Inge doing everything she could to retain her friendship with her Aryan friend. The novel written with such simplicity and clarity does an excellent job of placing us in Vienna in a growing time of terror and atrocities.

The Devil in Vienna by Doris Orgel is a very good book. The main character is 13-year-old Inge Dornenwald, who lives in Vienna, Austria, in 1938. Inge is Jewish. However, Inge's best friend, Lieselotte Vessely, is not Jewish. The two girls have been best friends since they were in first grade, and they plan to be best friends forever. But then Lieselotte moves to Germany. Her father and older brother are Nazis and they forbid her to continue her friendship with Inge. Inge's parents also say that she shouldn't be friends with Leiselotte, since her father is a Nazi. But Inge and Lieselotte remain friends. After all, they are best friends, and even blood sisters. They will do everything they can to struggle against the Devil in Vienna to remain best friends forever. This book, written in diary form, was very interesting. It not only tells about what life was like for the Jews during World War 2, but also anti-Nazis and even some Nazis. I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes to read about World War 2.

A must-have dictionary at a great price

I'm generally not very happy with dictionaries for one reason or another. But I had very little to complain about with this one - online EN - RU material tends to be very ... sketchy, at best, so I was very delighted to see natives actually understand what I'm saying when I used the translations in the dictionary. It has little accent marks over the words to show you were the stress in the word is, which I found very helpful. If for nothing else, it is a very handy pocket dictionary for every-day usage.

This book is worthless if you can not read Russian ...

This book is worthless if you can not read Russian. When you look up a word in English the translation is written using the Russian alphabet. there is no pronunciation for the word that is written in Russian so if you do not know how to sound out the Russian letters for the word you can't figure out how to pronounce the word

Great Content!

This is the first of two Judith Belmont's books that I have purchased and love it. Really great group ideas and printouts for the adult inpatient clients but can be used in a range of settings, clients, and can be useful for work with adults and adolescents. Broken down into themes, I have loved the CBT based activities the most. No prep, great theraputic content, and includes units on a wide range of themes. I look forward to ordering her other two activity books in the future!

While in their first book the authors Starsky and Cox described separately women and men through their astrological sign's nature and their ever so relevant sexual behavior; in "Cosmic Coupling" they have decided to finally connect the dots and - as the glamorous cosmic matchmakers they are- immerse themselves in the laborious journey of signs interacting (and exchanging fluids). Not a single juicy detail will be left aside here, and the book gets more interesting and fun to read because of all this "in depth" information. You will be astounded by the accurate depiction of your friends relationships dynamics,- in and out the bed -, and you'll search avidly for your own best match .

This Is The Best Compatibility Astrology Book Ever

This is actually the second time I'm buying this book for someone. It is perfect because it gives you detailed compatibility ratings for all sorts of relationships. First it breaks down two sign pairings into "Friends" "Romance" and "Sex". Then it also even goes into the sex of either sign. "Girl Scorpio with Boy Scorpio" "Girl Scorpio with Girl Scorpio" and each match has an exquisitely detailed explanation of what will and won't work. I would gladly buy this book for everyone I know (if I had the money). I certainly suggest this product for anyone interested in Astrology.

Boss pissed me off, so i sought help

I quite literally purchased this book because my boss was pissing me off at work and I was afraid that I was going to lose my cool and go off on him. This isn't a subject that is taught in school, so it's something most of us have to acquire and learn at some point during our professional lives. This book is outstanding and helping you grasp the principals of emotional intelligence and put them into play in the workplace.

Great How-To on a Difficult Subject

The attention to "emotional intelligence" started with Daniel Goleman's book "Emotional Intelligence" published in 1995. Although an excellent book, this Weisinger book is a better guide to how to USE emotional intelligence. It is full of practical exercises and real world examples. I have used it when I teach the subject and would recommend it if you really want to change and learn new responses when the going gets tough, not just think about it. Best wishes to all who are trying to develop these difficult skills. It ain't easy, but this book makes it easier. A good guide.

Great Read!

I was required to read this book for a college level course. As a manager, I often told employees to leave their baggage or drama at the door, but they didn't often listen. This book is well presented with doable exercises to enhance your emotional intelligence. The author also uses humor at some parts which makes it relatable.
